Privacy and cookies

This policy explains how James Shiatsu Thai handles your personal information, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who I am

James Shiatsu Thai is run by James B., a massage therapist based in Chiswick, London W4. You can contact me on +44 7902 199237 or via Telegram at @jamesShiatsu. [PLACEHOLDER: email address for privacy requests, if available]

What I collect and why

When you call, text or message me on Telegram, I receive the details you choose to share: usually your name, phone number, the treatment you'd like, session length, whether you want a studio or home visit, your postcode, your preferred day and time, and anything you tell me about your health that affects your treatment.

I use this information to arrange and deliver your appointment and to make sure the treatment is suitable for you. The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before providing a service, and my legitimate interest in running the business. Where you share health information, I use it with your explicit consent, only to keep your treatment safe and suitable.

The booking form

The booking request form on this website does not send or store anything on a server. It builds a message on your device and opens it in your text messages or Telegram, where you choose whether to send it. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to messages sent through Telegram.

How long I keep it

I keep booking messages and client notes only as long as I need them to provide your treatment and meet legal obligations. [PLACEHOLDER: retention period, for example 2 years after your last appointment]

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Contact me using the details above. If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and images are served from this website, not from third parties.

The only exception is the optional Google Map. It stays switched off until you press "Show Google Map". If you load it, Google may set cookies under its own privacy policy. If you don't load the map, no cookies are set.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like all hosts, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under its own privacy policy.
